Which passport photo sizes are supported?
Sizes for 196 countries, for example 35 × 45 mm for the United Kingdom and most of Europe, 2 × 2 inches (51 × 51 mm) for the United States, and 50 × 70 mm for Canada. Pick your country and the size is set for you.
Is my photo uploaded to a server?
No. Cropping, background removal and the final image are all processed in your browser, so the photo never leaves your device.
Will my photo be accepted?
The tool gets the size and background right, but acceptance also depends on lighting, expression, glasses and how recent the photo is. Check your passport office’s official photo rules before you submit.
Can I print the photo?
Yes. Choose PNG: printed sizes are exported at 300 dpi at the exact photo size, so the photo prints at the correct physical dimensions.
Can I use it for an online application?
Yes. Choose JPEG, which most online forms ask for. The tool shows the pixel size and file size under the download button, so you can check them against the form’s limits.
