Frequently asked questions
Is my document uploaded?
No. Nothing leaves your browser.
Does signing change the rest of the PDF?
No. The signature is added as an image on the page you choose and the text stays selectable. Only an encrypted or unusual file that cannot be edited directly is rebuilt as images, and the tool tells you when that happens.
Is this a certified digital signature?
No. It places your handwritten signature on the document, which is what most forms ask for. It is not a certificate-based signature of the kind some government or banking systems require.
