Signature Resizer

Resize your signature to exact pixels and a file size such as 10–20 KB for online forms. Trims empty space and whitens the paper. Free, nothing is uploaded.

How to use Signature Resizer

  1. Sign on plain white paper with a dark pen, then scan it or take a straight, well-lit photo with your phone.
  2. Upload the image. Empty space around the signature is trimmed and the paper is made pure white automatically; you can turn either off.
  3. Enter the pixel size the form asks for, such as 300 × 100 or 140 × 60, or keep the signature’s own proportions and set only the width.
  4. Choose the file size limit, for example 10–20 KB or under 50 KB, and download the JPG. The final pixel size and file size are shown before you download.

Frequently asked questions

How do I resize my signature to 10–20 KB?

Upload it, set the pixel size the form asks for and choose “10–20 KB”. The tool picks the highest JPEG quality that stays under 20 KB. If the result would be under 10 KB even at the best quality, it tells you to make the pixel size larger, because a bigger image is the only honest way to add file size.

What pixel size should my signature be?

Use the size stated on the form you are filling in; it differs between forms. If the form gives the size in centimetres instead, ask for the pixel size or use the form’s own sample. Choose “Keep proportions” if the form only states a width.

Will my signature be stretched?

No. With an exact size, the signature is fitted inside it at its own proportions and the remaining space is white. With “Keep proportions”, the height follows the signature’s shape.

Why is the background not white?

Shadows or dark paper can make the tool treat part of the paper as ink. Photograph the signature in even daylight on white paper, or scan it, and keep “Make the paper pure white” on.

Is my signature uploaded?

No. Cleaning, trimming, resizing and compression all happen in your browser, so the image never leaves your device.
